Not all liners offered on the internet in the 20 mil crawl space vapor barrier class are approved for use in a Crawl Space Encapsulation®. GuardianLiner® has met the strict criteria to provide a Do It Once™ installation. GuardianLiner® meets the following standards-
- 100% made with first use virgin polyethylene resin
- Actual plastic thickness is over .012″ or 12 mil
- Passes Tested Pure™ lab testing standard for odor causing impurities
- Each roll sold must have an individual serial number
- Meet Class A testing requirements
- Less than .01 perms
- GS1 UPC tracking number
- All rolls have protective wrapper prior to installation
- All layers and welds from factory must be bonded with polyethylene- no glues or tapes
- Minimum 25 year warranty

Extremely tough, well made material. My son and I installed this in our crawl space after watching the helpful videos on this website. Shipping was very quick and the product seems very well made. For a permanent moisture barrier, this is worlds above anything I could find in local stores, and after seeing how well it is made, it’s actually a very fair price for the quality of the product.

This is three times heavier than anything I can find locally. I precut into sheets in the yard, I think dealing with the roll under the house would be quite hard. It’s a bit stiff to get into the crawl space and unfold. As with another reviewer, I’m glad that day is behind me. I was sooo sore! It cuts like plastic with sizzors. The rocks and bits of broken concrete left from construction only put dents in this product, no holes. I am impressed with its strength.

Could not ask for better than this. Installation was hard work, but that was to be expected. Product performed excellently and install actually went more smoothly than I expected.

Vapour barrier laid down super easy even in a tight space. It was easy to maneuver over the felt 550. Planned out the pieces and cut them in the garage to make transportation into the crawl space easier. Only installed a few days, but the musty odor is gone from the house & crawl space, and the RH has dropped 21% already, from 95 to 74 (with the Compact Aire dehumidifier).
Durability of the product is unknown at this point, but the high quality makes me think it should last a fairly long time.

The liner was really strong and easy to work with because it was so durable. It is rigid enough to move all as one unit once you have it spread on the ground. The only issue was first getting started because the 1000 square foot roll weighs 100 pounds so its hard to manage at first.

great product just wish when rolled from manufacture that there were no creases.all the materials i received were of top quality and easy to place. just one word of caution, buy the felt backer also. i placed mine on 1/8th limestone chip and it seems like it could poke through the liner. but all in all great product.

My husband and I just completed our crawlspace encapsulation project using the 20ml Guardian Vapor Barrier from this website. It was a grueling job (not recommended for 58 and 60-year-olds) but we got it done. It took several weekends some weeknights, but well worth it. Humidity has already dropped 35%. Our next step is installing air ventilation system then we feel our foundation will be secure. A tip I would offer is to consider coverage of your crawlspace walls when ordering materials. Our house is about 1800 sq feet so I ordered two 1,000 sf rolls, but because of all the wall space and support pillars that needed to be covered I ended up needing to order an additional 1,000 sf roll to finish the project. So glad it’s done!

I couldn’t be happier with the products, the instructional videos, (gave me the ability to do a professional job from the beginning) and the fast efficient service.
