    This tape works great but I ran short twice. It is expensive and you will use more than you think specially around corners. I looked at using white duck tape at lowes for 7bucks.

    I have recently purchase a 12 mil crawlspace membrane, the foundation tape, the waterproof seam tape and the pins. I was very impress with the quality of the products, the crawlspace of my chalet is now clean and no more smelling or humidity. I called and if you told me once you must have told me 20 times to seal the vents. I could not believe this would work.     Great tape! Sticks well to the vapor barrier. Tip, use a blade not a pair of scissors to cut the tape. And wipe the area your going to tape with a cloth to get ride of the dust and dirt.

    My termite bonding company needed to treat the foundation. To treat the crawl space, they needed to poke a hole in my liner every 1 – 2 feet. This left me with 175 – 200 holes to patch in my 20 mil liner. Having applied the tape to about half of the holes, I have found this to be an excellent product. Very sticky and the edges stick very good. I am cutting a piece 2 – 4 inches long and centering it over the hole. I have also patched some seams that have come loose over 8 years. Perfect for my job.

    Great Tape. The last two years I tried to seal leaking joints in the crawl space using different tapes and methods with absolutely no success. This tape really works and does the job. It is worth the money you pay for it. The cleaner the surface the better it works, but even in lightly damp areas I had surprisingly good success.

I underestimated how much I needed to seal the cuts around columns and some of the additional cuts I needed to close a partially excavated crawlspace.     Moldstoppers of MD has been involved in crawlspaces for years – whether installing or contracting them. We have seen good tapes and we have seen bad tapes. Believe me the amount time it takes to do one of these projects correctly can all be undone by using the wrong sealing tape. This product has the advantage of being wider. Remember your under a house. Cuts can get a little crazy. A wide tape is important. Also it doesn’t separate – even in extremely moist conditions. Terrific product

    Tape sticks well and is flexible. It does not actually bond to the liner but rather has a strong adhesion, so you are able to pull it off and reposition it, albeit with quite a bit of pulling. Take your time and concentrate while lying it down to minimize air bubbles. Also be aware that when sealing around inside corners or bridging gaps, lay the tape without creating tension on itself or it will pull itself off and or up. That’s the tradeoff for not bonding but if this stuff bonded like butyl rubber does to the liner, you would be in trouble if you put it down incorrectly or got off track while joining to pieces of liner. After putting down several hundred feet of this tape, I have no qualms stating that it is a high quality product that compliments the Silverback liner I used.

    I’ve done a lot of remodeling/home repair/building.. Everything from decks, concrete, additions, roofs… But I wasn’t really ready for this. Small, dark space, cramped positions, spider webs, soaked with sweat……just a nasty task. But something that needed to be done badly.

    I’m not yet complete. I’ve done the walls in 6 mil and am in the process of installing 12 mil on the floor. I have 22 peirs (YES!! 22!!! ) to go around and 2000 square feet of material to apply to the floor. One piece at a time. Take your time. It’s worth the effort. Not only will I have eliminated my humidity issue, but I’ll have created a nice storage area.

    The tape..OMG. The TAPE is a booger to work with . It sticks to everything. It’s quite robust. Work in small strips till you get the hang of it.

    Good products. Good service. Fast shipping. IF you need to encapsulate your basement, don’t be concerned with the products you get from this company.

    Wow, that is some great tape! We are very pleased. Order way more than you think you will need as it takes more than you think! I had to place a second order for more tape! I wish you could find this good of quality at your local hardware store! Why don’t more companies sell this sort of thing for basements and crawlspaces is beyond me. The stuff you get at the local hardware stores is a joke compared to the quality of the items at crawl space repair. Thanks you for the great quality! We just installed the encapsulation system so I marked top rating on durability for what it appears it will be, but only time will tale.

    Man this tape is worth the extra cost. I’ve been doing this for 12 years and no other tape compares at all. Not even close. If you are in this business and you save $12 on a 187 foot roll, you’re really doing a disservice to the client by using a lessor brand. watch out for mimics too. Some are trying to make their tape look like this ST4

    I had a roll from a previous project completed over two years ago. Dug it out of hiding, and came off the roll easily, held like it did when new. The best tape I’ve found to work with heavy vapor barrier installation. Yes, it’s pricy, but consider having to go back into the crawl space to repair seams that came loose. Once is enough in my opinion.

    Oh boy, is this tape great! I love the way it sticks to the vapor barrier and how you can correct some minor wrinkles. Go slow and iron out the tape with your hand. It also blends in with the SilverBack vapor barrier I used. This tape is a little hard to unwrap, but worth the effort.

    I covered my dirt crawl space, bought a Fantech fan, built a 4” exhaust system and a 3” intake system servicing the crawl space, lower concrete slab and the garden level concrete slab. We dropped our radon reading from over 9 to a little over 1. We used your plastic system along with your tape. We are pleased with the results.

The tape is thick and super sticky so that it adheres quickly and thoroughly to the vapor barrier for a clean, smooth job. The white color blended perfectly with the vapor barrier, to make it seamless. I would highly recommend this product for any vapor barrier project.

    I bought this to seal below grade EPS insulation and the vapor barrier on top, all to be covered with a slab of concrete. It was expensive and the shipping added another $15 dollars to the total … but it was absolutely necessary, worked really well, and was the proper product for the job.     The installers in my crawl space used a tape that is 2 3/4” wide. Given 2000 sq. ft. over time there were 3 areas that needed repair. The 4″ tape is excellent for this task or even a new install. Tape is tight to pull (a good thing) an adheres very well. Overall a great value. Shipping costs are a bite but not a deal breaker. Like most products you get what you pay for! 5 Stars
