Value and Performance
DiamondBack™ 12 mil crawl space liner is made to handle the harsh crawl space environment with ease. It is made using 100% virgin polyethylene film laminated together with molten polyethylene tie layer. Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, you can expect a consistent quality that exceeds the demands of your crawl space.
DiamondBack™ is offered in a bright white finish for excellent light reflection helping your crawl space to not only look clean but be clean. We put a UV inhibitor on the white side to protect the barrier from the sun for 18 months. The back side is made black using carbon, which will protect the crawl space liner for much longer and is the best side to install up with open vents that allow sunlight in.
What makes it great
This 12 mil crawl space liner is protected with a 1000 denier polyester, the same cord used in bias ply tires. The reinforcement protects the liner from ripping or tearing and will confine small holes from spreading.
Each roll is 13’4″ wide and is made that width by welding two 6’9″ DiamondBack™ panels together. We fold each 13’4″ roll on a core that is 87″, making the handling much easier. Each roll weights approximately 68 pounds.
Crawl Space Encapsulation® Approved
Not all liners offered on the internet in the 12 mil crawl space vapor barrier class are approved for use in a Crawl Space Encapsulation®. DiamondBack™ has met the strict criteria to provide a Do It Once™ installation. DiamondBack™ meets the following standards-
- 100% made with first use virgin polyethylene resin
- Actual plastic thickness is over .012″ or 12 mil
- Passes Tested Pure™ lab testing standard for odor causing impurities
- Each roll sold must have an individual serial number
- Meet Class A testing requirements
- Less than .01 perms
- GS1 UPC tracking number
- All rolls have protective wrapper prior to installation
- All layers and welds from factory must be bonded with polyethylene- no glues or tapes
- 30 year warranty

This is a thick plastic, really strong. It is easier to start with walls and let the VB cover about 1-2 feet on the ground then lay the ground pieces and tape the seams. Use heavy duty scissors. Plan and cut your pieces and plan on how to unroll to make the install easier. Great stuff!

My order came within 2 days! The Diamond Product comes in a roll which was easy to handle and move around. I ordered two rolls of the 1300+ft diamond which was installed over a std 6 mil poly. The product is very tough and looks great inside a crawlspace. My application was on a new home and all the subs were really impressed at how clean plus how strong the application was. Overall, I was very pleased at the product and pricing.

I decided to give a new company a try crawlspace repair was the best hands down. My material was delivered within 3 days of ordering! The material so far has held up great the only down side was my roll of liner was 13′ by 100′ which was great bigger the better in my eyes. But it was folded in half which made it to hard to roll out and un fold in the crawl i did it all out side. Other then that its been the best products I’ve used so far. I do a lot of crawl space work and plan to use this liner every time

Took on a 2400 Square foot encapsulation of my homes crawlspace. Was overwhelming at first but the material quote and outstanding assistance from Larry took majority of the guess work out. Went with 12 mil silverback reinforced poly for the walls and pillars and 20 mil silverback reinforced poly for the floors. 90 pint dehumidifier and pump. Material quote was spot on with just enough material for the job. Entire job took 2 months working at my leisure with the help of my father. Wood moisture readings previous to encapsulation were 18-25% with humidity readings of 80-85% . Wood readings post encapsulation are now as low as 6% some places and cant find a reading over 15% anywhere. Humidity is now steady at 53% with the dehumidifier cycling on and off. Highly recommend fan kit to improve dehumidifier efficiency. This job is not for a first time DIY person but someone with average skills can be successful. I saved about $15,000 by doing this job myself.

Not a professional and I was able install the Diamond Back barrier in my 1600 foot crawl space, mostly by myself, after watching a few videos provided by Crawl Space Repair. I’m not saying it was easy, it took me about 2 weeks and it’s not as pretty or perfect as I’d like, but being a 59 year old woman with a few physical limitations I’d say that is a testament to ease of installment. The quality seems very good, but the judge of that will come after a few years. So far I’m happy with the result and I can now store a bunch of stuff under the house.
