  1. Michael Howell

I used this product on my walls and am very pleased with the product. I referred this product to friends.

  2. Victor Peterson

Everything I purchased was as described and worked as described.

  3. Frank Combs

This is a great creation and is a very high quality material. I am very pleased to have used this product. It worked wonderful.

  4. Brian Taylor

20 mil is a good strong durable product

  5. adam macy

Definitely recommend the product! Solved the house odor issues immediately. Worth every penny. The sketches provided by Larry were exactly what we needed to do the job right the first time without any “redos”. Very happy with the product!

  6. Thomas Papetti

This is an extremely heavy duty product. I got it to put on some particularly heavy traffic sections of my crawlspace floor; elsewhere (floor and walls) the 12-mil product is more than adequate. The only two to consider are the 12-mil and 20-mil DrySpace.

  7. Behrooz Goodarz

The 20 mil silver back plastic vapor barrier was great. The quality of plastic was very high with no odor and extremely easy to work with. I was also very pleased with the sales staff. They are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Thanks again for the great service and material

  8. Eric Goldstein

Got a quote from a company to install this system for me for $6,700! I went to Crawl Space Concepts after researching several vapor barrier products and ordered everything I needed for $1,200 including shipping. Installed the entire system in my crawl space in 2 days. The products were all exactly as described, high quality, easy to use, and relatively inexpensive. I am VERY pleased with the final results and thanks to Crawl Space Concepts, I saved $5,500!!

  9. John Rawlings

I was greatly impressed with the quality of the materials. The vapor barrier, both the 12 mil and 20 mil material, was extremely tough and have proven to be very effective in the short time it has been down. It almost would take a deliberate act to perforate the 20 vapor barrier which I used in the area that receives the most traffic.

  10. Jeremy King

The vapor barrier products including the liners, foundation pins, foundation tape and seam tape were all of the highest quality, easy to install. I did this as one man job, probably 6 hours total for a 900 sq ft crawlspace

  11. James Gates

The materials were of high quality and worked as advertised. I used the 20 mil SilverBack over 5100 42.

  12. Paul Cieply

The Silverback vapor barrier seems to be very durable and easy to work with. I did a lot of leveling of the gravel in my crawlspace which made everything relatively square. I can see how an irregular surface may lead to a more difficult installation.

  13. Andrew Kline

Well, I bought it twice in a row. What does that tell ya? Good stuff. Good performance.

  14. Richard Levy

Our contractor has completed installation of the vapor barrier in our crawl space…..he was very satisfied with the components we purchased from you. Your membrane was clearly superior to materials available locally.

  15. Judith Bemister

After spending 3 years researching for a quality crawl space vapor barrier for my cabin – I went with your 20 mil vapor barrier. The sales staff were very helpful, reviewing the products required, and giving installation advice. The installation went great and I could not be more pleased with the products. Bright white, no off gassing, no more musty smell from the crawl space. The product exceeded my expectations (and that almost never happens for me).

  16. Jeff Whitlatch

The 20 mil vapor barrier was great, easy to work with and my customer was well pleased. I will use again because it exceeded my expectations in every way.

  17. Chan Timmons

I used the 20 Mil and 12 Mil SilverBack™ crawl space vapor barrier this weekend and the product is fantastic, easy to use, and arrived incredibly fast and undamaged. The Waterproof Seam Tape was also something I was glad I purchased. Thanks for making a great product!

  18. KB

I installed this 20 mil SilverBack in a 24×26 crawl space. The results were great. You can’t go wrong with this product. I expect it to last for many years. Buy it.

  19. Darain Schug

My son and I installed the 20MIL Silver Back vapor barrier in our 11×22 dirt floor crawlspace. The product is excellent and I couldn’t be happier. The 20MIL liner is nice and thick and tough, so Rubbermaid tubs and boxes we store in the crawlspace scoot cross the liner with no problems and no chance of tearing the liner. I couldn’t believe how fast it came! I ordered it online, the next day it was here! Would highly recommend it to anyone considering lining their crawlspace.

  20. Tracy Johnson

Products are fantastic and easy to use. My crawl space looks fantastic and clean. All the moisture from the Colorado flood that made its way upstairs is all calming down.

  21. Dale

This plastic is the highest of quality . I used the twenty mil with 42 and it has made a world of difference. I highly recommend this product and company.

  22. troy

great sturdy strong product, fast to delivery highly recomanded

  23. Karl Smith

I wanted to install a high quality liner in my crawlspace that would not need to be replaced for many many years, if ever. The Silverback 20 mil liner was the perfect fit. When I had a couple installation questions the customer service was excellent. If you want a high quality product to protect your crawlspace I highly recommend this product.

  24. Wendell Wright

The items in this order were superb and did just what was needed as did all of the CrawlSpace materials. The encapsulation went well because the materials are excellent and the advice/directions were on target and very helpful. Also, the success was due to the staff at CrawlSpace Repair, their excellent advice, and the printed directions. I am a very pleased customer with the materials and service.

  25. TJ

Easy to work with. Feels even better over 42 liner. Cleans up well.

  26. Lucie

Wow, how happy am I that I purchased this product. Our basement now smells good, dry, and clean. Love how the white makes everything look clean.

  27. Eric Neville

I purchased the 20 Mil liner for my new construction crawl space and had it installed and then sealed to the walls by a reputable spray foam company. They and I are were impressed with the product. The crawl space has extremely low humidity since installation. The liner seems very durable. I am happy with the choice.

  28. Tom B

With rock hard chunks of clay and sharp pieces of concrete debris all around, anything less then 20mil would have been a disaster. If I had to do this job again, I would have gotten 2 six foot wide rolls rather then the 13 foot wide roll. The 13 foot width was very difficult for my brother and me to manage when your on your knees and belly.

  29. Lydia Pierce

I absolutely love the vapor barrier plastic. I have done a lot of research about vapor barrier plastics before I made my purchase and your product is everything you advertised. The 20 Mil SilverBack™ is the strongest plastic, even the handyman that I hired to install it said it was the best quality he had ever installed. He asked me for your address and said he would recommend this product to all his clients. Also, my order was filled very quickly and arrived in just a few days after I placed my order. Thank you! Great product and service!

  30. Shellie

I cannot recommend this product enough. We installed it in our crawl space after the Colorado floods in 2013. After installing it, our crawl space has been warm and dry and we have had no mold issues. I was hesitant to use the foundation pins, but the person we talked to said we really needed them, and he was right. We were able to rent a “pin gun” from our local hardware store and the combo of the pins plus the caulking has held up extremely well. In this day and age of bad customer service and poor quality products that look good but don’t deliver, it is nice to find a product that does what it says it will and exceeds your expectations. Highly recommend.

  31. Olivier Bellefleur

Not cheap, but very good product. You get what you pay for and one proof of that, is that it is quite heavy to work with, especially for big pieces in tight places.

  32. Pat Mac

I installed the 39 6 months ago and am extremely happy with it. The odor and humidity is gone. The crawl space is clean, bright and dry. This is an excellent product and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

  33. Paul St Amour

Outstanding product, and customer service and it’s made right here in the USA love it. Received the product in 2days with no shipping charge. Bought this product as a vapor barrier in my shelter logic outdoor shelter. It worked great at keeping the moisture from coming up from the ground. Very happy with the product quality. Would not hesitate to do business with Crawl Space Repair again in the future. Robert in customer service was very helpful. Thanks again, Paul.

  34. Steve Flipse

After much research, I finally took the plunge and ordered enough product to do a 1700 sq ft crawl space. When the pallet arrived, I was pleased at how well it was packaged for shipment. Lots of care to prevent damage during shipping. The quality of the 20 Mil vapor barrier far exceeded what I was expecting. Everything I ordered was top quality. I could not be more pleased with the outcome.

  35. Adams

This seems to be a good, durable vapor barrier. Unfortunately, there were some holes in it from the shipper. I patched them with the seam tape, but it’s unfortunate that there isn’t a safer way to ship this stuff.

  36. Phillip Kindley

I had local company to install a light weigh crawlspace plastic vapor barrier, it was never taped. After a few trips under the house the crawlspace was a mess. I replaced the old vapor barrier with this 20 Mil Vapor Barrier and associated accessories. What a difference in quality and the appearance of my crawlspace. This crawlspace barrier will not have to be replaced for years. I did my research and if you want a high quality product to protect your crawlspace I highly recommend this product and this company.

  37. John Thomas

I am very happy with this liner! At first I was worried because I could only get it 13.5 feet wide, but as it turns out, most of the supports under the house were about 12 feet apart, so it worked out great. It was cold where we installed the liner, and this stuff is really stiff when it gets cold, so we stored the role indoors so it would warm up. This helped a great deal. Also, unroll just the amount you need, then pre-fold it where your walls are, then roll it up again to get it under the house. This way it unrolls under the house and you don’t have to manipulate it a bunch. Very good product. Highly recommended…

  38. Frank

I used 1 roll of the 12 mil and larger roll of the 20mil. Both are fantastic. I had old clear 6 mil, which I went right over. Once I had the entire floor covered, even before taping the seams, I could feel and smell the difference in moisture reduction. I followed all of the videos and written process.

  39. Larry Snowden

VERY COST EFFECTIVE. REQUIRES TWO PERSONS TO INSTALL.

  40. Fred Bain

It has been a year now since I installed your SilverBack™ liners and I’m still impressed with it. The basement is much dryer and a lot warmer, through last winter. This spring, which is when I used to have water laying on the dirt basement floor, there was no water. And no water showed up in any other part of the basement. 2 large thumbs up.

  41. Jose Azcuy

The 675 Sq Ft rolls of 20 Mil SilverBack™ vapor barrier were quite heavy. This speaks for the true quality of the material. I have prior experience with a competitor’s crawl space liner that was advertised as a 90 mil liner, which weighed less than half as much as the 20 Mil SilverBack™ from CrawlSpace Repair. I am very happy with the customer service and the quality of the materials I bought from CrawlSpace Repair. My mother’s crawl space is now clean, bright, and beautiful.

  42. David Warf

Larry really simplified a job that I thought was going to be a nightmare. At his suggestion, I encapsulated my crawl space with the 20 Mil SilverBack™ and added an AprilAire dehumidifier. Now I am one happy, satisfied customer because there is no more water running off ducting and I finally have a crawl space that is dry.

  43. Robert

This stuff was easy to use and virtually indestructible. High quality product. Would highly recommend it.

  44. Troy Braman

This company has some of the best products and great service. The 20 mil encapsulation material, seam tape, and foundation seal were better than I expected. The foundation pins were a little flimsy. Our crawlspace looks like it was done professionally and we did it ourselves with your great products. Keep up the great work.

  45. Charles

Out of all of the products we have researched, this is the best option for stone foundations we have found, as well as the most cost effective. Easy to work with. There has been a noticeable difference in the air quality since it has been installed and we are only half finished! It has eliminated nearly all of the musty, basement odor. In the past, we have tried ionizers (which only masked the smell), and de-humidifiers, which helped but could not entirely remedy the situation.

  46. S. Dansey

After thorough research and 2 experts advise, this plastic was perfect for our small crawlspace. The 2 companies that we consulted tried to scare us away from DIY saying it’ll smell like cat urine. Your website helped explain all those scenarios and they did not apply to us. It was one of our easiest DIY projects ever. The only issue was that we only used half a roll!

  47. Charles Misner

Works great – our crawl space is now very clean and neat, and the “chemical” odor that we had in the cabin seems a lot better. Much easier to put down than the 8 mil poly that we laid it over. Worth the price.

  48. Alan

    Works well

  49. Keith

Great product, easy to use and install, very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

  50. Ductz

After reviewing many products on-line and even purchasing one other I recommended this product to our owner.
Thrilled at the turn around time of the order and the quality of this product. It is much better that the first one we tried
The support your website offers has made it easy to train our men on how to install.
I would recommend this product to any DIY or company
    Thank you
    Joan

  51. Kyle Estes

moved into a home that has a crawlspace that sat for about a year in the humid east coast summer heat. then some into the fall. layed down the 20mil vapor barrier ..immediately the next day after 90-95% of the earth under was covered , not even done taping and still some small spots exposed.. the foundation had begun to dry. even parts of the house were joist had significant and visible moisture it quickly started to dry. Havent used my moisture meter on the sub flooring yet( which is visible due to putting down new hardwood) but according to my thermometer which has a RH reading. it went from anywhere from 55-70 % ( before vapor barrier) to right around 45-35 % ( after installation of vapor barrier) . The Vapor barrier feels and looks like true 20mil. I have yet to see a better product around. Highly recommend to anyone looking to encapsulate or just have some added protection from moisture in there crawlspace. !

  52. geloware4

The large roll, 13.5′ x 90′, of silver back was easy to get into the house, cut and maneuver in the crawlspace. Easy enough for a DIYer.

  53. MRW

Product was just as advertised. Received in just a few days and was a breeze to install.

  54. DIY Crawl Space Repair

I used the 20 mil silver back vapor barrier and 4″ tape in my crawl space. Both materials are first rate, and well worth the price paid. While working in a crawl space is not my favorite thing to do, I would not hesitate to use these materials from this company if I do get into another crawl space job. The materials were shipped – on all three of my orders – either the same day I placed the order or the very next day. Good material, great folks to deal with – whats not to like?

  55. Tami

    Customer was so happy!!
She lives in a area with a high water table.

  56. Gilles

The first time you remodel and have troops of trades people crawling around on your vapor barrier you’ll be glad for the extra mils. I was completely comfortable moving my furnace and water heater into the crawl space to free up living space because the 20 mils will stand up to installation and maintenance traffic.

  57. Charles

I went with a 20mil silver back vapor barrier on the ground in my crawl space .Its durable easy to work with . I’m so pleased with my purchase . Thanks crawl space repair.

  58. Kevin

Excellent product. The 20mil thickness does make the product more difficult to work with. In the end, it is totally worth the slight additional effort. Laying this vapor control barrier in our crawl space changed it from a dirty, nasty environment, to being close to a sealed clean room. Huge differance!

  59. J

    H

  60. Craig

This 20 Mil Silverback is the best. It sealed the floor and prevents thing underneath from penetrating it.

  61. Crawlin

This stuff is thick, heavy, and hard to deal with in big sheets by yourself. Being that it is well made and strong. My crawl floor is not very flat and has some rocks in it so I chose 20 mil to hold up against being ripped.

  62. Dennis

Bought this to encapsulate my crawl space. Great product very pleased with it.

  63. Ken2XYFV65D

Product is installed and looks great and seems durable. With the seam and foundation tape; the installation went quickly. Now that I’ve reclaimed some space I’m filling it with long term storage items. Lines on the back served as registration marks to help me keep the barrier straight.

  64. Metal building

My 600 sq ft metal building has a dirt floor and suffered from high humidity leading to mold and mildew. I placed the 20 mil with the silver side up, taped it to the metal frame and placed pins about every 18 inches. It looks great and has dramatically reduced humidity. An excellent product. I do suggest that when drilling the holes in the metal frame that instead of drilling 1/4” it was better to drill 7/32” holes. It made the plastic pins tighter.

  65. understructurerepair

I install encapsulations for a living and I have for 13 years. I have used almost every poly available and have had and tested samples of the others. CleanSpace used to be the best around the 20 mil class. Not anymore. SilverBack is #1 and all the pros know it.

  66. Faust

We used this with the felt mat also available on this site. So far we have installed the barrier only on the floor and we plan to install rigid insulation on the walls next weekend. The musty smell in the basement is greatly reduced already and the whole house smells better even though we haven’t finished the entire project yet.

  67. Mike

First, Crawl Space Repair is a fantastic company to deal with. They keep you informed of your order every step of the way and provide free fast shipping (overnight in my case). Do not hesitate to order from crawlspacerepair.com.

I am extremely happy I went with this 20mil vapor barrier for my crawl space encapsulation. Very thick and durable. Note, It is a bit of a handful to handle by yourself. I chose the 13′ folded, but if I was to do it again, I would’ve gone with the 6′ non-folded to make the solo install easier. It is a bit tough to get into corners and around tight spaces, but very much worth the effort. No doubt this will hold up for the life of the house.

  68. Richard

    Great product!! Would recommend.

  69. Chris

I am both picky and leery of internet purchases but the quality of the products I purchased were amazing! I am so happy with my products. It was so easy to put it down, too. The customer service I received was amazing, too. They are awesome at communication and went an extra step to ensure I was the legitimate owner of my credit card. I wish I had known about this company two years ago before I paid a contractor thousands to put this down in my other crawl space. This one cost me less than $500. I definitely recommend this company and their vapor barrier products!

  70. DanD

Highly recommend the 20 mil for the floor of your crawl space. If you can afford it, use it on the walls as well. It is heavy duty and really makes a difference. Strongly recommend making accurate measurements and cutting it in a place where you can stretch it out as it comes folded onto itself.

  71. Jim Vizzaccaro

This product appears to be everything it says it is. Time will tell. Would recommend this material to anyone for this application.

  72. Jim Vizzaccaro

The staff @ crawlspacerepair.com was very helpful in helping select the right materials and quantities to do the job right the first time. I highly recommend them.

  73. Alrec01

Encapsulated my crawl space with the 20 mil product and I am very pleased with the finished result. The 20 mil thickness is stiffer and a bit harder to work with than the thinner barrier but it has allowed me to use the space for storage as well as a Radon mitigation using a radon fan. I installed over Felt 550 to provide extra protection for the vapor barrier and ensure the ground gasses would be able to move to the pipe under the vapor barrier. The vapor barrier pulled against the crawl space floor when the fan was turned on. Radon levels reduced to <1.

  74. Ken

Product is great to work with and is much better then the old 6mill
Makes for a much better job

  75. Hank

I used this 20 mil Silverback on the floor of our crawl space due to the excessive rocks. It was the perfect choice as it is tough and won’t wear through. The folks at CrawlSpaceRepair.com did an excellent job of guiding me through the installation process. Very easy.

  76. T. THARRINGTON

Took on a 2400 Square foot encapsulation of my homes crawlspace. Was overwhelming at first but the material quote and outstanding assistance from Larry took majority of the guess work out. Went with 12 mil silverback reinforced poly for the walls and pillars and 20 mil silverback reinforced poly for the floors. 90 pint dehumidifier and pump. Material quote was spot on with just enough material for the job. Entire job took 2 months working at my leisure with the help of my father. Wood moisture readings previous to encapsulation were 18-25% with humidity readings of 80-85% . Wood readings post encapsulation are now as low as 6% some places and cant find a reading over 15% anywhere. Humidity is now steady at 53% with the dehumidifier cycling on and off. Highly recommend fan kit to improve dehumidifier efficiency. This job is not for a first time DIY person but someone with average skills can be successful. I saved about $15,000 by doing this job myself.

  77. Gary

High quality and strong product. Very pleased with it.

  78. Rick R

I have a space that is approximately 1,000 square feet in area and 5 feet in height. I wanted to use this space for general storage and storage of lawn equipment, so I needed a product to accommodate that. The floor was originally dirt which I leveled adding an average of 3 inches of 1B limestone to bring the floor up to the footer elevation. Based on recommendations from CrawlSpace Repair.com, I covered the limestone and footer with Felt 550 as an underlayment then finished with the 20 mil Silverback with string reinforcement. I ran the Silverback up the walls approximately 6 inches and secured it to the walls with Premium Encapsulation Caulking. I used the Waterproof ProSeam Tape on all seams following the proper installation procedures provided in the company videos. Finally, I attached one circulation fan to the ceiling and plugged it into a timer to promote air circulation. I no longer need a dehumidifier. The space is clean, dry and holds up to heavy foot and equipment traffic. I am extremely pleased with the products and the result.
