I ordered this with the dehumidifier as I have a very tight, damp, crawl space and wanted to insure that the unit was off the ground and also needed to get as much fall as possible for the drain to the condensate pump. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and the fact that it came pre-assembled was a bonus as well. Just drilled 4 holes in the floor joist, mounted the dehumidifier, and leveled. Done. Cable clamps make leveling a snap. The foam on the mount ensures quiet operation and eliminates any vibration from the dehumidifier unit. Even standing directly above the unit in the house, there is no noise or vibration and I can’t even tell it’s running. This hanger made installation a breeze and I would highly recommend purchasing it with the dehumidifier unit. At first look it may seem a bit expensive, however, when you see the thought and quality that went into it’s construction, it is a bargain.

The online picture of the AprilAire Hang Kit gives the impression of it being rather costly for it’s skimpy looks. At first, I thought of possibly constructing something on my own. Instead, I bit the bullet and ordered the AprilAire hang kit along with the Moisture Medic and Condensation Pump. Glad I did. Turns out, the AprilAire hang kit is quite a sturdy rig with increment ratchet adjustments on each cable. Much more than what it appears to be. I ordered everything online and delivery was much quicker than I thought it would be. Phone contact with the Company has since been most responsive. My DIY project will be ongoing over a period of time and I feel confident the folks at Crawlspacerepair will be there with help or to advise as needed.

This kit simply is the way to go for a simple install. It wasn’t hard to mount and I was able to get my 70 pint unit exactly where I want it under my floor joists and easily level it.
