The crawl space vapor barrier liner

Unlike many other products on the market that were developed for temporary shelters, equipement covers and wind protection, the SilverBack™ family of vapor barriers was developed for the sole purpose of moisture protection in the crawl space. This means you will not find any unnecessary chemicals in any of the SilverBack™ liners that may likely cause additional odors and/or early degradation of the barrier. Our products are made to last well beyond your lifetime and come with a 25 year manufactures warranty as well as a 25 year workmanship warranty when you have the SilverBack™ products installed.

Pumping Systems

70% of all crawl spaces have a water problem that requires a mechanical pump to remove the excess water away from the home. Most often this extra water, if left uncontrolled, can destroy the wood or concrete block foundation under a home. These water problems come from the home having a poor grade (slope away from the home), no gutter system, poor drainage, a false water table and/or simple built to low compared to the surrounding water threat. In cases where there is little choice but to install a ground water pumping system (often called a sump pump) it is almost always necessary to dig a drainage trench and install the proper piping to direct the water to the mechanical pump. The InstaDry Sump Kit™ is the most advanced crawl space pumping system on the market today. It was engineered to be installed in a crawl space. It’s design addresses all of the problems that plague other basin designs like: ejection from the ground, lack of hydrostatic pressure control, lack of soil gas control and lack of odor control. The work horse behind the innovative design is the Liberty 1/3 HP sump pump. This pump comes with a warranty that starts from the time of install, not the date of manufacture like the Zoeller® pumps. The Liberty 1/3 HP Model 237 comes with a 3 year manufactures warranty; compare that to Zoellers® 1 year warranty.

The Results

The InstaDry Sump Kit™ was designed by engineers in the crawl space industry and therefore addressed the “mostly avoided” problem of Radon Gas. The sump kit has rubber seals in the lid to control both odor and soil gasses like Radon. Also in the lid is a 3″ evacuation hole to mitigate all soil gasses, whether they are just stinky odors or deadly Radon.
